With these words I tried to explain the magik sensations that songs like ‘Darka Mysteria’, ‘The First Four Trumpets’ or the hymn ‘Roma Divina Urbs’ just to name a few of them have been able to stir up in my corrupted soul. ABORYM to me represents the future of the Black Metal, a music that with its violence and Evil flame continues to degenerate the souls of the men who weakly try to face them. ABORYM is the future of Black Metal and if a man like Attila Csihar has decided to be their unique singer after the departure of Yorga S.M. I think that it is not only an opinion of mine. Let corrupt your minds with Malfeitor Fàbban and Sethlans words. Well, I’d like to start with the reasons that are behind your return more than one year ago after a so long time. Which are the reasons that have convinced you to resume this creature of yours? Malfeitor Fabban: "Aborym has been my first band in absolute. When I formed Aborym I was practically a little boy with serious intentions to destroy and to preach the verb of the Antichrist through the Black Metal. It was 1992, more or less, when I enlisted the old drummer and a dick-head guitarist and since then it had beginning a long evolutionary trial of my life-style, of my ideals and of my way "to see the things". After the recordings of the demo the band split up and I continued to work practically alone on the project Aborym and parallelly I entered to belong to Funeral Oration and to M.E.M.O.R.Y. Lab (Rip - Rip). In 1997 I have moved to Rome and after few months the meeting with Larvashaytan Sethlans... with him I have reformed Aborym: an operation to which I have worked for a lot of time, but without hurry, selecting an incredible quantity of persons, persons that at the end didn’t mirror what I looked for and which have been systematically get further. I waited only for the right moment to be able to unite me to the "similars" and when I have known Sethlans I have understood that the right moment had finally arrived, and now here we are...". Sethlans: "We reformed the band because we felt a strong need for it. It was necessary to summon again the fire demon. And to take a walk on the wild side through musikmagiktrance…". A lot has been said about "Kali-Yuga Bizarre" and about the project ABORYM, so I would like to focus the interview on other matters, but I can’t do it without asking you if you really waited for the so enthusiastic responses that this album has received? Malfeitor Fabban: "Before recording "Kali Yuga..." Sethlans and I decided to release a promo for looking for a contract and to divulge our re-union (even if practically only the lovers and the first-movers in Italy remembered the name Aborym). That promo on CD was called "Antichristian Nuclear Sabbath" and we were even sceptic on the fact to succeed in finding a shit of label that was interested in producing it... we thought it was too extreme for what the mentality of the labels nowadays is. We didn’t wait for so much enthusiasm from the kids and the audience... but when we finished the recordings of "Kali Yuga Bizarre" all of us realized to have created a really valid product, that would have shaken somehow a lot of souls in Italy and abroad. And then we have always asked how on earth a man like Attila Csihar had abandoned his loculus to come in Italy and to record with us... this thing permitted us to reflect. Evidently we have succeeded in composing really "strong", destructive... "deadly" stuff". Sethlans: "Me and Fabban worked a lot to strengthen the prometheik creature Aborym is. Just me and him at the beginning, in a room to play and energize our musik. Then a strange magik wave surrounded Aborym…thanx also to the joining trip of Attila Csihar. So we felt something special was coming for us…But we know to have a lot of enemies too…they shall perish by the way…Death Spell casting supreme ah!". Speak to me of the meaning of the age Kali-Yuga! Sethlans: "The age we are living is The Kali Yuga…The Black Age, the terminal phase... The inverted pentagram gaining all its forces…427000 years still and then our Golden Age shall kome!" .The presence of Attila Csihar, now definitely lead vocalist of your creature, has given surely a damned touch of madness to a project, that, as regards the deviance, loses nothing in comparison with other great entities. Can you speak to me about this man who in a certain sense after Dead’s and Euronymous’ death, represents one of the last icons of the extreme music? Malfeitor Fabban: "Attila??!! A great "to not-human being"... a big friend, an enormous personality and the most awful voice in the extreme music, I can say this having assisted him during two sessions of recordings with him and with the other Aborym. Attila has lived and faced unimaginable things and episodes; it has an unbelievable strength and an absolutely prophetic mentality... I think that our meeting has not been casual... it was written, it had to happen and it has happened, because energy evokes energy" .Aborym immediately has been considered a Cult band in the Underground musical scene. What is the most important characteristic of your music that has permitted you to reach to a similar consideration? Malfeitor Fabban: "This is not up to me to say it. I don’t care a lot about all this shit... cult-band, revelation of the year and similar shit... Evidently we have shown to be able "to upset" so many weak souls accustomed to the usual boredom... especially in Italy, where the quality of the bands is rather low and the mentality of the people is absolutely poor. I have even listened to a pair of albums of bands that probably have drawn inspiration from our style... and perhaps we’ll assist now to the "boom" of the experimentation’s in the extreme music!!!! We are what we have given you to see and we will be what we will allow you to see, we don’t care about the other shit. We are trying everything to estrange us from the greyness, we would desire to remain a creature apart, free to create and to destroy through "our" rules, our style (our and only our), our "not-be-approachable-to-what-is-human." With us or without us". Sethlans: "Our musik is strong ‘cause contains magik…it is strong enough to influence people…And it pleases Him…" .The extremism of your music, of your lyric and of your image could be considered to the eyes of persons who don’t know you, just built or provocative. What do you answer to these people? Malfeitor Fabban: "I have other more constructive things to do. I don’t like to waste my time, neither to convince, to prophesy nor de-program the human beings. Simply I don’t care about it and I go on... I don’t need the benediction of anybody. I don’t believe in God, so do you think that the consideration of the human beings interests me about? The similars are welcome: it is with them that we want to share the knowledge... the rest is only overcrowding, shit that stinks!! We are too many on this shit planet indeed, don’t you believe???". Sethlans: "Never really cared of "people"…They are killing themselves by trying to annoy us…But some of them are really funny to look at..." Another great characteristic of the album is the artwork. Can you describe its meaning and what does it symbolise for you? Malfeitor Fabban: "The artwork of "KYB" hides different ‘occult’ concepts, that I am not here obviously to disclose, but "reading them" from left toward right it is not difficult to extrapolate something of concrete from the imagination and from the "curiosity" that there is in each one of us. The images represent concepts, the concepts synthesize the ideals, behind these ideals there are us, who has preceded us and the catastrophe that will come. Kali Yuga Forever". How much can influence the cultural roots of a man on his/her way to conceive the art? Sethlans: "It’s all in that…". And how much the fact to be Italian, descending of the most monumental culture of the earth, make you proud and what do you think of the continuous xenomania that characterizes Italy in every artistic field? Sethlans: "I am proud to be a roman descent… You know "Roma Divina Urbs"? It’s my homage to my heritage and to the heathen unchristian Roma archetype…" .Give me your concept of Art? Malfeitor Fabban: "In this moment I am listening to "Nordik Battle Signs" by MZ412 and in this moment I would answer: catastrophe, disorderliness, war, dynamism, immortality". Sethlans: "Art makes my tears lick my face and my heart burn with hellfire…". Your studies in the esoteric field continue without standstill. What does interest you in this moment and above all which aims do you give to your readings: simple knowledge or real philosophical research? Malfeitor Fabban: "I am working a lot on the rhythmization of the respiration, on the autosuggestion, the auto-graft of the "frictions" and on the tonal depth of the vocalisms of power names, an experiment that I intend "to try" also in the music in the future. During the recordings of "Fire Walk with Us!" I have worked a lot on the "activation" and on the "attributed energy" of different discharges "theta", omnipresent in the new album. The Magik is Life; the Life is Magik". Sethlans: "I always searched for Wisdom and Quintessence…I search for the ecstasy…To witness, feel and see his realm of majestic ekstasy…To reach the Star beyond the stars…". Have you ever believed to the existence of parallel worlds with different dimensions from what we perceive with our senses? If yes which are in your opinion the doors to access such worlds? Malfeitor Fabban: "I believe that before looking for the keys is necessary to try the awakening". Sethlans: "I believe in different parallel dimensions on different planes…We can become the key, and so open the doors…".What is your opinion about the extreme sex and which opinion do you have on the perversion that is the most real of the human behaviours according to many? Malfeitor Fabban: "The extreme sex... in all sincerity I prefer the magic that goes creating when I make sex with my girlfriend. I am not a big lover of the extreme sex typical of the various porno-oriented mags... I believe is very more interesting to leave that the mind and the pleasure dictate the rules of the game and I think that it is stupid to define extreme sex when of extreme there are only the sado-maso tools, leather clothes and studs. Being extreme means other for me. I am very more stretched out toward the sexual magic from this point of view: energizing the seals through the union of the bodies and the pleasure of the flesh, using the awful and phenomenal power of the mind". Sethlans: "The most of people who are perverted with extreme sex don’t have any sex at all, so they are forced to unleash their complex on perverted stuff…By the way I like extreme sex (or more likely really Wild sex), but when it’s a real impulse of oneself, and not when it becomes just shitty fashion stuff to masturbate with only". It still exists according to you the concept of Underground in a scene like this one where more and more it looks at the aesthetical factors (look, artwork, production etc.) and not to the real musical and conceptual essence of a band? Malfeitor Fabban: "The true Underground has died different years ago, but luckily someone still succeeds to capture the meaning of this movement. I am a big fan of demo-sound and I collected demo-tapes from many years and analysing this movement I have found different persons with my same passions. The money, the newspapers and the record labels have ruined everything but who really believes in this, cannot be ever suppressed". Sethlans: "I don’t think a real underground still exists…just few bands who are going on with the old spirit…some of them are good and some are basically shitty untalented freaks…I like the nazi Polish scene, they are fucking crazy and serious!".Have you ever been afraid of something? Malfeitor Fabban: "Of course, very often lately and it is just in those moments of "nigredo" that the most sinister creativeness comes out. The fear helps to be stronger and for me it is not a negative thing". Sethlans: "Yes, I piss in my pants when I go out and see what humanity has become…". Do you ever think about the death and in which terms? Malfeitor Fabban: "Death is simply the end of everything. It belongs to a cycle... It’s the end. A warning... an enormous skeleton that grasps a big scythe: the perennial and total dark, the silence, the nothingness. I have often desired to die, just to see what there is in that hemisphere... Christianity has made negative the concept of death, attributing a negative value to it, but it is not this way. Death is the end of a cycle. Death is the end of everything and of everybody, for this it is necessary to realize what we really are, to awaken, to find energy in everything that surrounds us and to live the instant as if it is the last one. In this way Death assumes other meanings, very more natural. Love the Death as the Life...". Sethlans: "Everyday I think about death in different terms…It’s a natural thing I think…Mostly about my death or about the death which lurks in the other planes and it’s going to reach us...". Are you satisfied about your life? Have you ever repented you of something? Malfeitor Fabban: "That depends on the periods. In general I like a lot the life I do. I have a job that I like, a beautiful girlfriend at my side, my music and so many passions... unfortunately for me the days are too short and often I have a very little free time. I adore the relax and I adore the calm of my house, to listen to music laid down in bed, before a frozen beer... to the dark and with a small violet lamp as only source of light! In this period I like the life a bit less... too chaos, stress, appointments... Three months confined under earth for the recordings of the album and parallelly the job, the artwork, the interviews and now the promotion of the new album... to all this you add the bossy advent of the summer, of the heat and of the blinding sun. I hope that this summer immediately passes away! I want cold and freeze! In short this last period is not really the top, but I prefer to have a chaotic life instead of a flat and grey one. Have I ever repented me of something? Certainly. Every whenever I have repented of something I have always made up for in some way: I don’t like to be persecuted by the remorses. I hate the remorses. My biggest repentance’s concern the unconditioned trust I have given to persons that at the end have revealed to be only traitors In that case for me exists only the vengeance... it will be long, progressive and tasted when cold". Sethlans: "In some terms yes, in others no, cause I’m still searching for something unearthly…". What fascinates you and what lights your interest in life and in the world around you? Malfeitor Fabban: "Simply my life, my curiosity in seeing the things and the events, the brothers (those true and immortal), my attributing an enormous importance to myself. To worship everything I am and I will become and to believe in what I do. The others’ light will never be approached to mine, because observed through the darkness, and therefore even more bright and blinding. I feel scorn for a lot of people. I feel disgust for them... because a lot of these people believe to exist but they don’t really exist". Sethlans: "Life is an horrible nightmare Marco Aurelio said…Life is war and strife, but for some aspects is a war worth fighting…Maybe it was better to be One with him…". And what about your concept of Extreme? Malfeitor Fabban: "For me the extreme is the liberation of the magic ego that speaks through the senses and the subject". Sethlans: "The word "extreme" is overused, especially by astral abortis which are not extreme at all…Open up your mind and ku ku ku baby…". Is there a particular event of your existence (an episode or a man / woman) which has changed or influenced your attitude towards the life? Malfeitor Fabban: "Surely... many. Generally speaking the negative events are the ones that mostly mark my existence and they create in me the desire of a spiritual growth, they create in me the desire to create, to study, to read or to make graphics... The negative events, those really black and dark ones... those ones that isolate you in a perpetual paranoia, loneliness and total alienation, excite usually me so much to feel the uncontrollable desire to create a new piece, to write a text or to read a book... All the most important things that I have realized until now have been conceived after a period of nigredo, of negativity... The new album is a new example of what it means for me to immortalise the negativity and the pain: behind this album, as behind "Kali Yuga Bizarre" and as in the future projects that crowd my mind in this period, are hidden terrible moments, anguish, really terrible situations that have been perceived, encoded and therefore "translated" in music and vibrations. Through the music I succeed in placating my anger, the hate towards the humanity and some human beings who have bothered my existence, who have disturbed me and who have materialized themselves as an obstacle on my path... Through the music I damn who has hurt me, and I warmly hope that the vibrations and every single note are as sharp blades that tear to pieces their chest, slowly and for a long time". Sethlans: "Some tragedies, an out of the body experience I witnessed, and some other unbelievable too much personal things…People? Yes I think so…". ABORYM is currently in the studio to record their second full-length album "Fire Walks With Us". From the first voices it seems that the work is turning out great, extremely aggressive and in a more experimental direction. Would you tell me anything you want about new son of yours? Malfeitor Fabban: "The new album will be out on the beginnings of October, I believe. The title will be "Fire Walk With Us." There will be eight new tracks and a Burzum’s cover, "Det Som En Gang Var" that it will be also present in the imminent tribute-album released by Cymophane Records. I detest to auto-promote the album of my band, so no anticipations. I tell you only that "Fire Walk With Us" will represent a great and embarrassing lesson on what it means to play extreme music, in Italy and abroad". Sethlans: "We love our newborn son…Wait and see and witness by yourself in October…". This second album will feature a cover version of "Det Som En Gang Var" by BURZUM. Why have you decided to include this episode? And why just a Count’s song? Malfeitor Fabban: "Varg Vikernes has been one of the few artists who has succeeded in giving me the creeps while I am listening to one of his so many albums. He has been and it will be a main column for a lot of bands and his albums cannot absolutely be ever imitated by anybody. The decision to publish "Det Som En Gang Var" was born while we already were in the studio for the recordings: Cymaphone has informed us on the idea of this-tribute album and we cannot lose this important occasion to make homage to a unique artist. So we have recorded the cover, that I have sung together with Mr. Nysrok’s backin’ vocals and that we have decided to include in the new album too. Attila would have liked to sing it, but at the end we didn’t have time anymore for the mixing (we have recorded "Det Som En Gang Var" before his arrival in Rome, because there were a precise deadline for the delivery of the piece). Varg Vikernes Free!!! 14/88". After the ABORYM’s recording sessions the whole ABORYM line-up will start the new PLASMA POOL recording sessions for the rebirth-album, planned to be out very soon. Do you want to anticipate something to me on this other project? Malfeitor Fabban: "Yes, Attila and Nysrok are already working together with Zilhay Istvàn in Budapest. I will unite to the rest after the summer, season that I detest. To the beginning we had thought about including the whole line-up of Aborym but subsequently we have preferred a most slender line-up, especially in function of the fact what Zilhay (one of the members of the original formation) has decided to re-enter in the group on the programming. I will deal with the synthesizers, Attila will be behind the microphones, Nysrok will be occupied of the guitars and the effects and Zilhay will program the bases and will structure the old and the new pieces".
